The Artec Tape Echo pedal is an analogue delay pedal. Unlike digital delays, which can typically be harsh, the analogue circuitry is warm and natural sounding. It can be used as a reverb effect when used with a low repeat setting, or it can be set at maximum for a expansive ambience sound.
The pedal has three controls - repeat, which moderates how many repeats the pedal creates before decaying. Mix, which mixes the wet and dry signals in different proportions, effectively controlling the severity of the effect. Time, which controls the time between the delay pulses.
It has two 1/4 inch jacks on the side - one for the input, one for the output. It runs off 9v DC regulated supply and does not have an internal battery.
