The solderless connector setup includes a circuit board loaded with all the favourite USA grade electronics (Switchcraft jack, Oak Grigsby switch, CTS potentiometers, Orange drop capacitor) along with the pickups.
This circuit board simply drops into your Tele, then you plug in the connectors we've added to the end of the pickup leads into the circuit board. The Tele setup comes with default 250k potentiometers, 3 way switch and 0.047uf capacitor.
No soldering is required at all, making the installation job take about 10 minutes in total!
This set will hot rod your Tele from a twangy chimey guitar into a firebreathing monster. Leaving the traditional Tele tones of old behind, this pickup set firmly has it's roots planted in the p90 family. This set is for the player who does not want a clean, elegant instrument; but instead wants a dirty, gritty and barking Telecaster capable of covering all types of rock and even metal (if you're brave enough to bring a Telecaster to a metal gig).
This set utilises massively overwound coils on alnico rods, the coils give the pickups the grunt and bite that you'll find in a P90, whilst the alnico rods keep the prevalent mid range in check to stop it from becoming congested and provide excellent note clarity and quick tracking in solos. Constructed nearly identically to a vintage telecaster set, you'll still have the wide array of tones at your fingertips that a Tele is fabled for - the brass cover gives access to those creamy neck lead tones, whilst the copper plated steel baseplate on the bridge adds the standard snap and muscle of a Tele bridge.
